If you are considering whether to self-drive or take the coach up to Whistler from Vancouver, think no further! Definitely self-drive as there are so many interesting stops en route Highway 99, also known as the sea-to-sky highway.
8 seasons later, we are back at the very spot where I took my first snowboard lesson (not forgetting the weeping and gnashing of teeth).
We did the Kathleen Springs walk (2.5km, Grade 2 of 5) en route to Curtin Springs, the only motel accommodation between Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. The 300km drive from Kings Canyon to Ayers Rock is on sealed roads and you do not need a 4WD for this segment
